 Become a cornerstone employer

Cornerstone Employers

Cornerstone employers are a strategic body of employers who are invested in the successful and sustainable delivery of careers education through the West Yorkshire Careers Hub by providing strategic input and supporting careers education at scale across the region.

The cornerstone employers work with their networks and the wider business community as part of an employer led leadership group to ensure all young people have opportunities to be prepared and inspired for the world of work.

What do Cornerstone employers do?

  • Collaborate with their business networks to increase the availability of high-quality workplace experiences for young people and to link employers to schools and colleges
  • Work with other employers to share best practice and collaborate to have greater collective impact
  • Invest time and resources to deliver projects to benefit young people’s careers education.

As a cornerstone employer we work with wider networks to ensure all young people in the area have the opportunities they need to be prepared, inspired and confident as they head into the world of work.

For us at PwC, supporting skills development and social mobility is not just about who comes to work for us; it’s about supporting a much wider group of young people to help them progress as far as their talent and determination will take them - regardless of what path that might be.

PWC
