This course is designed for leaders and managers who are looking to understand and develop sustainability procedures and implement actions within their business.

Overview/summary of training

This course will give you a rounded high-level overview and a variety of skills that will support your company on their path to net zero by providing useful tools and techniques that you can instantly begin to practice. 

Subjects that will be covered include: 

  • Carbon Literacy (including carbon footprint and handprint) 
  • Importance of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) within the company 
  • Benefits of embedding sustainability into business practice and supply chain 
  • Principles and benefits of ISO 14001 Certification - Environmental Management. 
  • Developing a net zero/environmental action plan  
  • Internal influence, communication and creating a positive culture to encourage sustainable behaviour. 

What next?

Progressions after the completion of this course:  

  • Increased responsibilities within your job 
  • Entering employment into the green sector  
  • The creation of a green job  
  • Evidenced embedding of sustainability into the business 

In addition, this would provide a pre-curser to other courses (NEBOSH) and environmental standards such as ISO 14001 Certification - Environmental Management.
