Our Bid to Win series of workshops and one to one support is delivered by Bid Experts and designed to fast-track your understanding of grant and public sector procurement, elevate existing and learn new bidding skills, and shows you the latest tips, tricks and short cuts to achieving bid wins.

You will also benefit from our Masterclass webinars on key topics such as Social Value, Capture Management, AI in Bidding and Pitch to Win to further enhance your knowledge and skills and ultimately securing grants and contracts.

Weekly: 2 hour online workshop plus 2 hours of 1:1 support

Overview/summary of training

The course is based on Bidright’s 13 years’ experience of submitting over 1000 bids with a 75%-90% success rate and contracts won in excess of £200m.

In the Bid to Win modules you will learn how to: 

Session 1. Opportunities & Readiness

In this session, you will learn how to source bidding opportunities and evaluate their suitability, with an overview of the best bidding portals. We will also focus on planning, information gathering, identifying delivery partners, and developing effective profiling and pricing strategies to ensure you are fully prepared to bid.

Session 2. Preparation & Public Sector Themes

This session covers the crucial steps of dissecting buyer requirements, passing supplier selection questionnaires, and preparing delivery plans and supporting documents. Additionally, we will delve into key public sector themes such as Social Value, Equality and Diversity, and Carbon Reduction, ensuring your bids align with these important considerations

Session 3. Writing

Enhance your bid-writing skills by learning how to craft compelling content with the right language, format, and style. This session includes practical examples on answering common questions related to delivery, staffing, management, risk, and quality, helping you develop responses that stand out.

Session 4. Winning & Review

Discover how to elevate your bid scores by gaining easy marks and avoiding common pitfalls. This session also focuses on the review process, teaching you how to proof your bid, effectively trim word counts, and refine your submission to avoid common errors and increase your chances of winning

One to One Support

Each weekly session sets tasks for you to complete supported by a one to one session (up to 2 hours) with a Bid Expert who will support you to convert the knowledge and skills learnt into your real world setting. These sessions will be arranged with you during the first session with dates and times to suit your needs and flexible around work commitments, including evenings if required.

Masterclasses

After completing the Bid to Win modules, you will further enhance your skills by attending at least two of our four Masterclasses. These 2-hour sessions delve deeper into key topics, allowing you to refine your bid-writing abilities and increase your success in securing public funding. You have the option to complete all four masterclasses for a comprehensive learning experience.

Social Value

This course is designed to help you understand Social Value in bidding for public sector contracts and how to meaningfully respond to them. Social Value can equate up to 10% of a bids final score so could make the difference between winning or losing.

Capture Management

Capture management is the method and process of gathering key data and up to date information to develop insight. Learn how to develop a ‘bid library’ and access intelligence quickly and effortlessly, saving time and stress, and leading to competitive advantages when bidding.

AI in Bidding

We explore the growth of AI and how it relates to bidding, dispel myths and look at common pitfalls alongside potential benefits of using a range of AI engines to help improve responses, streamline process and save you time. You will gain understanding and valuable insight into where AI could add value to your bidding processes.

Pitch to Win

Tips on presenting at interview stage from preparing for common questions to gathering compelling and relevant evidence to substantiate pricing, mobilisation plans, scalability to risk management and mitigations, and importantly selling your USPs and promoting you as the best choice.

What next?

The knowledge and skills gained through the programme are aimed to develop your understanding of bid writing and management practices, and ultimately go on to secure new grants and/or contracts for your employer, or for your clients if self-employed.
