The course is aimed at those who would like a taster into health and social care and also those who have no prior experience to enable knowledge development to progress to employment in the Health and Care sector.

Eligibility - You must be aged 19+ and live in West Yorkshire.

Dates: Ongoing from March 2022

Duration: Programmes will run between Monday and Friday between hours 9am-4pm. This will be completed between 7-10 days based upon prior knowledge and experience

Venue: Online learning

Course overview

From this training you will gain an understanding around working in the Adult Care Sector and knowledge of the care principles, the role of a Care Worker, understanding of Duty of Care and safeguarding adults, Health & Safety in the work place

With hundreds of vacancies available you will have a guaranteed interview at the end of the training.

The training is remote, online with a competency-based assessment. IT support is available where necessary and additional 1-1 support if required. Training will include employer input to explain what it’s like working in the industry and highlight current vacancies in West Yorkshire.

This training is suitable for you if you are, unemployed or employed and looking to either access the health and social care sector or upskill to improve your career progression opportunities.
