Eligibility: 19+ by august ‘23. Live within the West Yorkshire Region. Not in full time education. Not received DFE funding in this financial year.

Overview/summary of training

A 12-week, event production focused course enabling students to work hands on with equipment and digital technologies used in the live events world. During the course, students will be trained by experienced professionals to deliver a high level of training. By the end of the course, learners will have been trained in best practice within the core aspects of a live event, such as sound, lighting, rigging, and staging, enabling them skills to be able to work safely and effectively within an event team environment.

Logistics & Planning 

Event Safety Passport 

Overhead Rigging / Rigging Installation 

Intro into Audio 

Intro into lighting & Focus 

Intro into Video 

Review Week & Independent learning 

Stage Design & Load in Session 

Rehearsals & Live Performance 

De-Rig & Load Out 

Portfolio & Interview Preparation 

 

Suitability: 

This course is suitable for everyone, there are no pre-requisites. 

It should be noted that this course is delivered in English, and as such a translator would be required if you do not speak and read English.  This is not provided. 

 

What next?

  • An entry level position on a crew or festival/event site. 
  • An entry level position in a touring company. 
  • An entry level position in a specialism company (i.e., lighting, sound, etc.)
